    Mr. Woolery's Porsche progress...

Been doing some stuff to the car...reinstalled the original mirror, removed the nasty/broken radio antenna (and plugged the hole), restored/rechromed the original steelies, also had new barrels put on them that are slightly wider (from 4.5in to 5.5in) and put on new 185/65/15 Yokohama tires. The tires that were on the car were over 20 years old and dry rotted. One of them may have been the original tire--it still had an inner tube!

Had it up on the new Garage Woolery lift for a bit...

Looking nice with the new wheels/tires...

Now that it has new tires, I finally took it on the freeway for the first time. The car cruises nicely, the alignment is good, the car tracks well...all in all quite an enjoyable drive. Next on the agenda is to reinstall the original wipers, steering wheel, and see if I can do anything with the oxidized paint. If I can't get the paint to look nice, I'll just rely heavily on the "patina" euphamism until I can afford a proper paint job.

I think the car is about ready to make an appearance at Cars & Coffee now. I'll have to introduce myself to the Porsche guys there, hopefully they won't bite.

The car looks awesome. Nice to see it coming back from the garage it sat in for so long.

Quick question, the lift you have, did you get that locally or somewhere online? I am starting to look for one for my garage.

So cool. Not only the car, but the lift too! And besides that, the beautiful California weather...and that chair swing!!! So much goodness. Congrats on the car's progress.

Classic Porsche is looking nice. Wheels look perfect.
I see a Charger under a tarp though, in for status report.
