    DIY trunk/fuel door trigger relocation

So im the middle of redoing my interior and making my nakamae console so i wanted to relocate my trunk and fuel lid pulls to another location, so i totally cut out my trunk trigger and cable then relocated my fuel trigger under my seat.

    This is the triggers removed

then i undid these 2 bolts on the metal panel to move the cables all the way to the driver side

here is the triggers, then remove the trunk lid trigger cable and cut it right by the trunk and pull out the entire cable out

get your dremel and cut off the trunk lid trigger then you must bore out the stock mounting hole to 3/8"

then move the assembly underneath the seat all the way up to the driver foot well

now you get your dremel and hack up your seat bracket to make room for the bracket (you will find out that the mounting tab for the trigger must be bent downward so that you have the ability to pull the trigger)

now it just needs a little spray paint and new seat bolts and im done!!

Were both cables long enough to go to the front of the seat?

at the very beginning on the thread i said i cut out the trunk latch sorry if i didnt make it clear. and im not 100% sure the trunk latch would make it all the way under the seat, but i know the fuel latch cable had an extra 8" or so

Did you look into possibly relocating them behind the seat on the back board? Kind of like the mr2 hood latch behind the seat.

they do but they are a pita because they are so wide and grabbing the recline handle takes some hand scraping, and i didnt feeling like that would be fun everytime i needed to ope my trunk/gas lid lol
