One question, is it common to see anime like that on side of cars or what? Why Clannad of all anime too?

most people got through ok, lots of people lost boats, and cars. Couple businesses were damaged. I haven't heard anything about any injuries or deaths, at least in my area. We went out and scouted the coast and went about 6 miles out to sea to see if anyone got dragged out. Nothing.

North side of the island got hit a lot harder than us, but that's marine territoriality and they have their own close air support. Island was pretty severely damaged though, third worst (damage wise) in japanese history. 150k people are without power.

As for the anime on the cars, it's not "uncommon" but it's not common either. You'll see a couple cars with those around. It's just their way of individuality. As for the anime, no idea, maybe they like that specific show.
