Please forgive my ignorance, but what is the point of this brace, E.G. what is it for?

It serves to keep the brake master cylinder from flexing (actually the firewall) when you mash the pedal, thereby transferring all your force into the brake fluid. If you have never watched the MC move when the brake pedal is depressed you won't believe how far it deflects. I put a Mazdaspeed front tower brace with integral MC brace on my wife's RX-8, and the difference in pedal feel was amazing.

Lots of good stuff coming. I'll be ordering this and the fender braces when they are ready, along with all those other GarageStar products I've been wanting.

I doubt it, but I still want one because I don't have a strut bar.

Made some adjustments to the Garage Star brake master brace. Smoothed it out and now will fit NB's with ABS and no ABS. They will be powder coated black. If you do have a NB without ABS please email me. These are custom made and turn around time is one week.
