San Diego, Parts & Things To Do?

Hello,

I am going to be going on vacation to san diego between july 15-17'th, I am driving over from Scottsdale az* and I am renting a car being driving my Miata over will make me pretty much paralyzed.

I have asked around for some advice and know one really seems to know much about san diego ie* Things to do otherwise this is what i have came up with so far. Coronado, La jolla cove, Stripps park, kayak the caves and the typical three beaches but what else is there to do? I will be staying in la jolla farms at my friends house is there any places in the san diego area that sells Miata parts or are popular with selling aftermarket Miata stuff. Not to mention I am looking for a black fender for my 93 Miata and I can't find one for the hell of it in az* not to mention every parts place online will not ship a used fender due to the fact they always arrive bashed in.

You help will be greatly appreciated....

Start with Good-win-racing and Rocky's Miatamotive. Both specializes in Miatas. Both are located Pacific Beach, a few exits down from La Jolla.

An hour and half or so north in Lake Forrest/ Irvine area is 949 Racing.

2 hours North and you got Project-G. (Hit them up for that fender).

There used to be a dive joint in San Diego where the diner scene from Top Gun was filmed. It's a dive and the food is mediocre but kinda cool, if it's still there.

The people at work keep telling me the only place I need to go in san diego is blacks beach.
