I've noticed while on my work computer (where I know Facebook is blocked) and some pages that have some links (the page will say "waiting for blah.facebook.com" and because of that I can't view the thread as it will block the whole page. Is there any workaround that I should try?

The only way around this otherwise would be to disable the FB features on the forum. That's Phat's call.
I suppose Tapatalk would work. But it's a bit more conspicuous trying to browse. I have a habit of keeping a window of Chrome open for momentary forum browsing to help speed my day along.
