What's up guuuuyzzzz. I just posted an intro thread on another forum so I figured I'd jus' copy and paste that here to make a proper introduction on mazdaroaster.
Anyways, my particular form of Miata addiction is of the turbo and track variety. I'm sure several of you suffer from the same ailment . I sold my '99 beater back in July, so now I'm down to 3 Miatas: a turbo '95, a turbo '99, and a mostly stock '92 (currently accumulating parts for, you guessed it, a turbo kit!). I've got a couple of pictures of my sleds here: https://plus.google.com/photos/11000...ums?banner=pwa . Here's a picture I snapped of my driveway this summer:
My '95 is my baby - I've done pretty much all of the work on this one (including shooting the paint in my garage). Some of you may recognize it from Grassroots Motorsports "Internet Hot Rod of the Month" feature a few months ago.
I picked up this insane '99 about a year and a half ago. I had really high hopes for this car, but for a variety of reasons it is going to be parted out. It made 405hp on a dynojet - 3071 turbo, Hydra 2.6, Wiseco pistons, Carillo H beams, etc. Don't shed any tears for me though - my '95 is still plenty of fun for track days!
This past June I picked up this as my daily driver (warning: non Miata content ahead):
Pretty boring until you pop the hood:
The engine is an LS3 6.2L V8 mated to a T56 6 speed manual transmission. I took it to Talladega Gran Prix Raceway a few weeks ago for a track day, and this year I'm hoping to do a day or two at Road Atlanta in it.
Oh yeah, and this is my garage queen:
Anyways, thanks for listening to my rambling about my addiction. Looking forward to meeting a few other addicts and sharing our obsession!
