Here in NC they even talk about snow fall they shut everything down till it melts so as far as winter goes when its that bad out. my Miata stays parked in the driveway and if I really need to go somewhere I am safer to drive the wife's g6

I agree and have driven 2 former Miata's through winters here in Chicagoland.. but the miata I have now has never seen snow/salt/winter and never will ;)

That's pretty much where I'm at. This one is supposed to last me a really long time.

The 2 winters I drove my stock powered NB were probably the most fun I've had in a car in the winter in a long time.

I had a 1.8 NA through winter on studded skinny snow tires and passed SUVs that couldn't move.. and then had a former 99 miata through winter with snow tires that rocked! (both had rust unfortunately)

Man, my car slides around in the rain I can't imagine what it'd be like in the snow! Last time it snowed here my car was frozen shut and the tires were covered in ice, so I didn't drive it!

If I were to move it out of the garage, I would still would not be able to get the car back in. Too much ice on the ground!
