Damn, I didn't even know about the Treasure Hunt cars. Normally I just go in and buy the cars I like, now I have new things to check for when I go to the store, great......

I did find a Herbie with no #53 tampos the other day, I didn't buy it because I was in a hurry and the store I was in had about a 30 minute wait to check out. Can't win them all I suppose.

I've got a lot less horsepower - luckily they are Japanese horses - usually in better shape and more motivated.

I absolutely hated having to leave that one behind. Went back for it later and it was gone.

Since I haven't posted any pictures in here yet I'm going to try to catch up on my more recent acquisitions. I normally just buy the cars I like, but I'm hunting the TH cars now that I'm aware of them. Don't have any in the recent buys, but I wonder if I do in the boxes and boxes of HWs I have stored away.

Mazdas (The Furai is probably my favorite recent buy):

    TV/Movies:

    American:

    Exotics:

Classics (the car on the left is a VW Thing):

Imports (The XJ40 is from 1996, but it's included because I recently found an unopened gift while cleaning out some boxes in my basement and this was one of the things in it.):

"Other" (The Bat should be with the Movie cars, but I forgot):

And Matchbox (1M on the right):

I've got a lot less horsepower - luckily they are Japanese horses - usually in better shape and more motivated.

Here is a neat variation to look out for.

There was two interiors used on the recent Hot Wheels BMW M3 (Red) Version.

Can you spot the difference ???

One came with a roll bar, then later release without a rollbar!!

The Mazda RX7 came with a roll bar, and they took it out midway through the red version... Check yours, roll bar or not?

All three of my RX7s have their rollbars. None in the M3s though. My silver M3 has darker windows than the red one.

Found the one on the top today, it's missing the green tampo (no number on the door or stenciled "RD"):

Found a different variation of the AE86s I have:

New for '14 and was actually the only one on a freshly stocked rack:

    Finally found one of these:

And the rest just because I liked them:

So the VW Drag Bus FINALLY has made a comeback to the mainline series, well sorta, its in the color shifter series (they change color when they get wet)

If anyone sees these you had better GRAB THEM because every collector in North American is trying to find them right now!! The color shifters are 3.99 but I can tell you it is worth it, the VW Drag bus as not seen the pegs since 1997 when it was first introduced!!!

I saw the series hit at my local Targets but the scaplers/collectors already had picked them clean. Most stores will only get 2 or 4 of these per case. So not easy to find.

here is a picture so you know what you are looking for!!! They may also appear in white if the store is really cold inside LOL (they change color)

Dang it Randy, why didn't you post this tidbit sooner? There were 3 of those at my local Target when I went last night, bet they're gone today.
