As the title states, does anyone know the pitch and cap size for the EGR cap?

Metric M22 x 1.50, FM sells them, IIRC.

I have read people using a Ford part for this, but the last person I told this to said it didn't work.

I have also read some people force an NPT cap on there, but I wouldn't recommend that. Others have also welded the port shut.

Make sure to get one made from iron, and not made of brass, as the headers get VERY hot, and it can melt the brass especially if you go turbo later on down the road.

If he goes turbo, he won't have to worry about the cap on the OE manifold.
