    FS: Maxim Works Header for 1.6

    Used Maxim Works header for 1.6, wire mesh screen on joint is torn otherwise no cracks or leaks. This header retails for over $1200 new and is supposed to produce measurable gains over other headers. $450 including shipping OBO, you are welcome to pick up in the Baltimore area.

    Worth noting, the buy will either need to cut off the flange of the header and have a shop weld one to US spec or be willing to cut their cats flange to fit... it also uses a non-traditional gasket as well.


    And was this previously installed on an NA? Because the NB 1.6 Maxims sometimes don't work on NAs.



    Also, getting the mesh fixed is quite simple and there's bound to be an exhaust shop in your area that will do it for probably less than 100.


    Also, I have this same header and it offers a very noticeable difference on the butt-dyno and is "slightly" better than the RB header at stock power levels (it's efficiency is vastly improved with more airflow... either ITB/SC)

    Fwiw, my NA6 Maxim fit nicely without modification.

    Mine doesn't need modification anymore because I have a jdm cat saves the headache.

    The guy I bought it from said it fit without issue as well, I didn't try to fit it. I'm open to offers on this fellas it won't sit in the garage.
