This is a really cool item, I first saw this in the 1997 '98 Mazdaspeed Catalog, where they pictured it mounted on a Mazdaspeed D-Cut wheel. That picture made it a must have item, however back then I was a lot younger, and going to college, it was pretty expensive.
However, I finally did see one in person while on vacation in Japan, just happened to walk into a Mazdaspeed dealer and it was among one of my first purchases.
Over time my taste in cars and modifications changed and I sold mine to a local club member back in 2006, but he still has it.
But I really have always loved these unique items, and now that the Original Mazdaspeed Japan was absorbed by Mazda these Mazdaspeed items are a rare find. So when I asked my friend in Japan to do some research you can image how happy I was that he was able to locate some! It was apparently through his many Roadster connections that was was able to track down some old Mazdaspeed dealer "display" items. These are used in the store displays, he told me some items might have nicks, dents, scrapes, or fading, but he did pick out this Mazdaspeed Trap Timer for me.
Since it was a display item there was no box, but it did come with a battery and Mazdaspeed instructions.
I had asked my friend Makoto in Japan to translate some of this back when I got my first one. Lucky thing is that I saved all of that information, and have posted it here in this thread for future reads.

Some of the features of this are;
Time, Date, Lap Timer (hold multiple laps), alarm setting, countdown timer
I will get some better installed pics for you guys later on, but figured I would share this rare piece of Mazdaspeed gear with you guys. I asked Makoto if he can get some more for some of the guys on the forum, so I will have some for sale soon as well.
