    95 Starter bolts

I am stuck in the middle of replacing the starter in my 95 NA.

I removed the bracket bolt and the bolt on the lower end of the starter (the one with a 14mm nut attached to a 12mm bolt). However, I cannot get close to removing the two upper bolts on the starter.

I tried using extensions, accessing it from under the passenger side and behind the throttle body above the engine, but still no luck.

Can anyone help or lend me some advice, pictures, guides?

    Any tips are greatly appreciated..

When you went through the passenger side wheel well, what was blocking access?

    Also try various wrench extensions

Also be aware one of the mounts is a bolt with a nut on the opposite side

I was able to successfully finish the job. Installation is complete.

I guess the issue i had was bad lighting since I was doing it around 10pm with only the garage light from above.
I finished it the next day late afternoon with much better lighting and was able to access both bolts.

Went to harbor freights to grab an 18" extension, universal joint, and 12mm ratcheting spanner. Without these tools i wouldnt have been able to get the job done. It was a breeze to do with all of this, so for those reading this who are tackling this job for the first time like myself, GET THESE TOOLS!
