Worn shift boots and bushings pictures + stereo install

Just a quickie thread about worn boots/bushings and a stereo install for a fellow Gearhead's NA.

After removing the plastics for the stereo install, I spotted a slight problem with the shifter boots

Removing the lower shifter bushing for replacement (what there was of it)

Removing the middle shifter bushing (what there was of it)

Removing the old upper boot (what there was of it that hadn't melted)

    Got into some stereo wiring

    and stereo installin'

    Finally wrapping things up

This was one of the first things I did to my NA when I first bought it two years ago.
Stereo/boot/bushings. Was a quick $80 maintenance all together that was so worth it.

Total night-and-day difference. I think he was happier about the new-car shifting than the stereo that he came over for in the first place.

And your window guides I told him about. His old ones crank hard! Hopefully, he'll be up for a Tampa meet and I can introduce you two.
