    new guy, old miata

hi everyone. i bought my first miata back in 06(?), it was a non-runner i was supposed to get with a 1.8 but the guy flaked on the engine part of the deal and i was left with a beat-up mariner that's only purpose was to shade part of my driveway. it came with a hardtop, so i sold that off quickly, then the car followed.

during that interim, i picked up a classic red that had major paint issues. i took it to bare metal and spray painted it, made it my daily for a while until i was forced to replace the engine with a fresher 1.6 lnc transplant.

i added some neat bolt-ons, drove it some more and decided i needed something faster. so i pulled the intake and exhaust off, put the car on jackstands and posted it all up for sale. when it's gone i will start looking for a 1.8 to boost.

so that's where it sits today.

Yes, Welcome Wolfgang. I have seen a few of your posts already, and it's good to see you involved with the site. Post up some pictures of your current ride. We all don't have decked out garage queens, or hellaflush show cars.

Hopefully your car sells soon. I want to see some more Miatas on here.

Welcome to the site! You could always 1.8 swap and boost this one ;) That's always a fun path to take.

    Lets see some pics!

haha. yeah i came from CR seeing how badly that forum/site is being run. seems like it's on the downhill curve. i enjoyed trolling there, it was easy and fun. i will be keeping my presence here relatively tame by comparison and only piping up when i have something worth saying.

my car is sitting neglected in the garage for now, i have no recent pictures of it to share. the ones i had died with my old photohost which sucks because i had a lot of documentation of the repainting process there. i have other projects eating my time and money at the moment, so whatever i spend on this car comes from the parts i sell off it. if you want to speed up the process, perhaps you can refer someone looking for a 1.6 lnc and intake/header to me.

im selling my latches and catches from the hardtop saturday to fund some Jass brackets. i was going to buy from StaticNine but they're out of stock with none forthcoming. I might have to go through miataroadster.com as they're the only other storefront i can find.
