Thumper - I haven't been this excited then let down since I brought that 7th Day Adventist girl back to my dorm in college 30 years ago. You fail at threads.

I'm in for the pics as well... and any other thoughts you have on them. This is one of the sets on my shortlist.

just wondering, has anyone had their Xidas rebuilt yet? what is the typical time frame to get coilovers rebuilt? i've heard every 4-5 years but wanted to see what you guys thought.

DUnno what next year will bring... but I bet these wouldn't like the canuckian winters we have... This winter the Miata will be the winter car, but its still stock.. next year that may all change if I make the move to STR the car will probably be the one parked in the barn for the winter.

Not concerned about dropping the Xida $$ so long as they last me at least a couple years between rebuilds..

There is no preset interval. When they either stop feeling awesome or require the damping cranked up past where you normally run, they are ready. In the most extreme hourly use (100+ competition hours) for a finely tuned national level car/drive, one might expect yearly rebuilds to maintain peak performance. That only applies to maybe 3 drivers though.
For everyone else, every few years if raced a lot. Probably never if you only track/autocross occasionally.

If not driven in your winter but used as you describe, my guess is 3-4 years between rebuilds. It is up to you to determine when they are ready for service.
