Idling - Listen to it purr...
Um...Hi! :)
Just picked up an amazing deal on a 97 in the Quad Cities (Iowa). It's my second Miata and after I boosted and blew the motor up on the first one, twice (in the garage) I must say, my wife is extremely forgiving to have let me get back into this. The first (a blue 93) was easily my favorite vehicle I'd ever owned (of 7) and has now been put into for my new baby.
I don't have pics yet because since I bought it either the weather was crappy, or I was driving around town with the top down and the biggest s*** eating grin on my face.
This new one is an odd sort of greenish blueish that I had never seen before. Depending on light conditions it is a very deep dark blue or a very deep dark green. If it's not factory its one heck of a complete job since the trunk, underhood and under carpet all have the same treatment. It came with all the goodies that I had been pre-buy shopping for. Radio, rollbar, cruise, wheels, shocktower braces. There are still plenty of fun things to do and add, but my primary focus for the summer is to work on some of the simple livability updates like daytime running lights (thanks again martin!), fixing a blown reverse light, maybe some new shocks etc.

Ok, I couldn't stand not knowing the actual color any more. Door listed it as M8, which google tells me is indeed Montego Blue! I gotta say Martin, I'm really starting to like the way you can translate my Iowan to miata-ese!
Also: I gotta blue Miata again!

Welcome (and thanks to your wife for being forgiving)! As others stated, Montego Blue is a Mazda factory color. Here it is on an FD RX-7:

Not gonna lie, Montego looks better on a FD. I've always thought that it's both a shame and fortunate that Montego became a standard color on the Miata in '95. Shame because it makes the '94 M less special, fortunate because it's a great color that's more plentiful as a standard color.
Now get us those pics!
