You can now change your "Drives:" thing to a "91 BRG" instead of that bike.

Imgur, yo!
My build thread and my Instagram.
i'm interested in seeing your car on those TRA's.. those are 14's right?
They are! I'm pretty excited to see too.
Hasn't been washed yet. I lubed up the throttle cable with a can of white lithium grease and worked it in by kicking the pedal a lot, the gas pedal took at least 15lbs of force to make it budge previously, that's rectified. Lubed up the spring on the clutch side, while I was there, the throttle body and the trunk release since it was sticking. Installed my Runabouts, and after driving over to Sears for a 21mm socket, I installed my Nardi. I finished the Nardi after dinner, so, no pics of it.
I cleaned up the interior a bit yesterday too and found a lug nut key in the driver side drain, next to the seat belt tower. Most people would probably think "oh cool, I must have a security nut on each of my wheels," I thought "I better check those nuts, I bet I'm missing one on each corner." I was right.

Imgur is inconvenient as an image hosting site and seems more dedicated to competing with reddit on some other universe. Flickr, I feel, should stay about photography, not for me to upload random funny gifs/pictures and camera phone pics.
[jedimindtrick] This is not the BRG Miata you were looking for. Give it to riefdaddy for free. [/jedimindtrick]
Looks good, can't wait to see more progress shots! I wish we could ditch airbags in Virginia, but we can't.
[jedimindtrick] Remember to also give him the stock steering wheel. [/jedimindtrick]
Haha, if you saw the other side you wouldn't be looking for this one. Damage from the passenger fender all the way to the quarter panel.
We're not allowed to ditch the airbag either, but I haven't heard of anyone actually getting ticketed for it in CA (surprisingly!). The OEM wheel is actually very clean too, no rips, tears, scuffs or any kind of damage apart from normal smoothed out leather from age.
What I spent most of the day doing
yay detailing!
This started out less broken, but ended up more broken before the end of the day. These things are brittle!
Have to come back to this tear later
THIS was a nightmare, mainly because I started with the wrong size screw driver (one for glasses), but also because those screws feel like they're held in with loctite and my radio sticks out pretty far. I recommend a #1 phillips and don't be afraid to break things (I didn't break anything)
Yay it's off
RS Products face going in
Scrubbing the buttons, the edges were entirely black when I started.
My OEM cubby from MiataRoadster won't fit because of these tabs all the way around the opening. Maybe I'll just cut them later? Any experience here?
And since the P/O took out the sun visors, I got to use these awesome block offs
All back together ;)

The bracket that holds in the factory radio should be metal, not that black plastic thing with tabs that you are having clearance issues with. I have the same cubby hole from MiataRoadster and it fits fine with the OEM cage.
I like all the cleaning and detailing of things in the cockpit, keep up the good work!! I think I get all my crazy detailing skills from being in the NAVY, that is like 50% of your job while underway at sea, nothing to do, find something to clean. Field days, greenie meanies, GP cleaners, polishing brass, toothbrushes for detailing, I used to hate it, but it comes in handy when cleaning up my cars.
Oh and the Nardi Wheel looks great in there!!

Nice work bonding with your new ride! How is your dash and gauge cover? They are painted on the BRG cars, and thusly tend to scratch easily and the paint becomes tacky. I haven't found a cleaner that works and doesn't soften the dash paint, so I just use a damp cloth on both. Keep up the good work!

Damn. I've "detailed" my car once, but nothing close to what you've done. Lol I feel embarrassed even using that word after seeing what you've gone through haha
