6,000 rpm - mere mortals would shift
Nope, Still in the old spot. Last night I sanded the entire trunk down. I'm going to re-primer it, and hit is with some white paint. tired of it looking like rusty butts.

Nice. I think it should look good. Maybe hit the rest of the car as well?

Cool. Let me know if you need some help.
I'm surprised that the one lady that took your spot at the storage place hasn't started fussing over the apartment.

Oh she wants me out, but I'm not moving until they cancel my lease, and they are not motivated to do that since I'm paying twice the rent that they will get from her.
Knock on wood.
I sprayed on some primer. Now I just need to find a nice shade of white paint. I also want to spray the trunk with truck bed liner. No cute on how to begin cleaning that thing.

Your friend is still the manager of the place though right? That may help.

2,000 rpm - light wheelspin, no bog here!
When you say clean, how clean are you talking? Like food-grade stainless? Or just peeling up all the nasty old jute sound dampener stuff?

All the sound dead is gone. It just needs to be clean enough for the bed liner spray to bond properly

Tony try a wire cup brush on end of a drill if you have surface rust

1,000 rpm - releasing the clutch
VIR is having their Holiday laps next Friday the 7th. Is anyone heading up? I'll be going up early with some coworkers if weather is nice. This past spring I was last in line in one of the groups full of corvettes, so once we got the back straight I pretty much played catchup the entire time and got a 15 minute session at speed for $25, so sometimes you get lucky....

What are the details on that VIR thing? Those are just parade laps, right?

I think I'm going to put a listing up for the Miata. Probably will be ridiculously over-priced, but will be cover the hardtop/wheels/extra bits. Just for shiggles. I have not driven her in a few months, and i'm at the point of where I may not miss her. If I get no bites, I'd probably install a soft top, and some cheap wheels, then sell the hardtop and wheels separate from the car. I really am not sure how badly I'll regret it though.
