Headlight won't go up or turn on please help!

So today I took my headlamps off so I could try to hammer out some dents on my front bumper beam.

After some hammering around I re-installed my lamps and now they wont turn on or flip up. I'm sure this is a question asked many times but I feel like my situation is more specific. When the motors for the headlamps are still plugged in and I turn them to manually tilt them up, they keep twisting back down automatically after only a few turns.
So I know the motors are still running and functioning (not jammed).

I got some new headlamps to see if that was the problem but still nothing. Where is the fuse for the headlights? Possibly the hammering broke that fuse?

Please give me some advice thanks!

Unplug them and you can manually raise them up and they will stay up. Once you reconnect they will reset to the default (closed) position

Any chance you removed the tombstone inside the car, unplugging the headlight switch under the hazzard light button?

Same thing happens if that switch fails. Also might be one of the relays on the driver side in the engine compartment.
