Red interior works in both white and black cars. This darker red belongs on a white car. A brighter red is for a black car. There is no right or wrong, just one type of red suits a white car and another type of red for a black car.

I'm biased, as I have the red interior in a white shell. Also have those nifty 95M seats and red skins for them hiding in storage that need attention.

    +1

Chaste white and red is gorgeous. And white will be much easier to keep clean than black. Something to think about if you are developing arthritis.

black or white has been done already.
why not try photo-shopping the red interior with different exterior colors? laguna blue or silver may look great with red interior. even yellow, although you may need to squint when looking at it.

How I wish I have photoshop. I am intringue of some dark BRG variation from some euro cars. I think the red would look good. I thinking the almost black colored green.

R2 Limited not really an LE (S-Limited, R-Limited) interior in a white car.

    R2

    S-Limited

Big difference; different seats (standard black plastic furniture), standard black dash, black door card tops, left-over R-Limited main room carpet, black late style deck carpet.

There was a rumour of an Australian special edition, in yellow, with a dealer retrimmed red interior. Ronald MacDonald car.

Anyone have a red interior with wood steering wheel and shift knob? I wonder how it would look.

My signature picture shows red interior with a wood Nardi wheel. The angle doesn't show the knob...which is metal and black anyway.

I heard Mazda Australia fitted the red interior to their last seven Malibu's.
I sat in one at my local dealer when they were new. Never saw it again.
