The fake GV style lips are all over Ebay for $50 or less. It's a cheap way to add a bit of flair to the front of a Miata...but is it just for looks? I've noticed that my 96 Miata seems a bit squirrelly at speeds above 65MPH. So I decided to take a trip down the closest interstate after installing the lip. It seems that at speeds of 65 and higher the GV style lip helps reduce front end buffetting and lift a bit . Maybe my butt dyno wanted to feel more planted but IMO it does make a slight improvement. Of course, adding a real splitter would be even better for a track car
