Idling - Listen to it purr...
I Am Weeping
On Craigslist in Atlanta I noticed someone is selling a 1991 Special Edition. Is is Plasti-Dipped, front to back. Ladies and Gentleman, boys and girls, my dream car. A 1991 intact BRG covered in charcoal plastidip. I called the guy and found out he is a young college kid and he wants something larger, with more power. I resisted the urge to tell him to look for a Tonka Truck.
If I bring home another project car my wife will divorce me and the neighbors will burn down my house.

Local guy here had his plasti-Dipped into an off greenish blue color, it looked nice. Paint was shot though, and I think he wanted a change. Most of these NA cars are dirt cheap now, and so is plasti-dip. There are plenty of nice BRG Miatas left, some nice looking ones right here on the forum.

2,000 rpm - light wheelspin, no bog here!
Save it! But not for his asking price. Who knows the condition of the paint underneath. And the hood alignment to the bumper suggests a previous front collision. That thing is a sub 2k miata.

that is a $1100 car here in Florida on a good day.

6,000 rpm - mere mortals would shift
Yeah, the car is in terrible condition! Just look at that seat! The last picture in the add of the car at Import Alliance describes the type of person the owner is and why it is plastidipped!

3,000 rpm - starting to feel the power
You can't save them all. IMO the car has to be 100% free from accident and the interior has to be decent. Unfortunately the biggest eyesore will be the condition of those seats. I have seen non-special edition BRG that were well maintained will put such BRG to shame.
