What's going on with my idle?

Last week I replaced a bum injector in my 1.8. The car seemed to be running fine the day it was fixed but the next day, which was much hotter, my idle was sitting around 2500. I finally got to take a look at it this weekend, and my gas pedal isn't sticking, the throttle cable isn't too tight, and my idle screw is set as low as it can go. I jumped the ambient idle and it too was sitting at about the same RPM range. I did notice however, when it was jumped my fans were kicking on. When it wasn't, no fans. I'm not sure if the two are correlated or not.

Do you guys have any idea what might be going on?

You probably have a vacuum leak around your injectors.........did you replace the o-rings, or rubber/plastic insulators that go in between the injector body and the intake manifold.......do you smell fuel in engine bay??? A simple cheap check is to spray some brake cleaner around the injectors and see if the car revs up...if it revs up you have a small vac leak there.

Yeah, I got a 2 piece o-ring kit and replaced them all. No gas smell either. I did the brake cleaner test and nothing revved up, but I did lose revs when I did it on the 1st, and 4th injector

I would go back and make sure all the injectors have good lower seals, make sure they did not get pinched or torn....

That's the best lead I've got, so I guess this weekend I'll go buy new seals, and reinstall them

Well, I went and replaced them all today. And, no luck. The idle is still about 2K higher than it should be. Any other ideas?

May be a long shot, but have you checked the vacuum port on the back of the intake manifold? The one that's used for cars with auto trans but capped off on cars with a manual trans.
