    Hinata

Hello! How's everyone doing? My names Wes and I've been lurking around miatas forums for a couple of years now. Also have a nb build thread that hasn't seen much since it's my daily and now I have a new project

A friend of mine (Jpatrick) informed me of a roller that needed a home. A 95 mx5, it was gutted, needed wheels and a steering wheel to get moving. Made the trip to San Bruno and picked her up. I'm super excited to be back in an NA (let's be honest. Pop up headlights) so I jumped on this chance plans are to swap in a 1.8 with mainly the essentials. So probably no a/c, heat, power steering etc. want a relatively clean bay and simple interior. Possible boost once everything is running again

here she is in all her ugly glory ;) 147,xxx on the body and it shows haha under all the scratches and imperfections it is montego blue which I do enjoy looking at. Will probably change in the future but at the moment I'm going to focus on removing the motor and trans out to give back to the PO.

It's gonna be a lot of work but I'm excited to start a project of my own

Oh also has a blackbird fabworx 6 point roll bar welded in

    More to follow soon

So finally got around to the removal of the drivetrain, with the help of my homeboy Jpatrick image.jpg was going to keep the 4.3 diff but a perfect donor car came along for the same price so hopefully I can pick that up next paycheck, tow it back home and start swapping drivetrain and everything else that's useable over

Pretty much the same thing. It starts with one innocent project and then ends up with eight or nine Miata carcasses in the front yard, a garage stuffed with parts, transmissions and differentials and an empty bank account. Then code enforcement shows up and comes the frantic Craigslist ads to get rid of some parts only to spend the money on better, more expensive parts.

Started with one. All I want to do was a lil motor swap. 46 miatas, 12 GTO's, and 1 Camaro later.....

Lol I knew I was gonna come down with this sickness when I got my first Miata..which was my first car so I'm attached even more to these things (this is my third Miata). My nb currently is my daily but I'm still itching to do more to that on top of this engine swap...which will lead to a carcass in my front yard that I must get rid of too thankfully my parents are sort of understanding? Haha

Update time! So I bought a donor car, she's had a rough life but the engine and drivetrain were all strong so the plan is to swap everything I possibly can from the donor over to hinata car was to low for my jack so swapped my old nb suspenion in and took the race land coilovers that I discovered the donor car had..will swap those over as well for now drained the oil and coolant and took out the intake and radiator as well I'll work on it little by little after work this week and hopefully should be out very soon ^_^

It appears another never-ending Miata project has begun in earnest as Miata fever has struck again.
