Automotive 'Must Sees' in San Diego?

Anything amazing I need to see? Shops to check out?

Hmmm. You could drive an hour north to hit 949Racing, Racing Beat, attend Cars&Coffee. A little further north and you could do KINOD or visit Project G.

Goodwin Racing is in SD, but there isn't a showroom.

Drive up Mount Palomar, drive up the coast on the Pacific Coastal Highway. I used to bomb around the avocado and fruit orchards near Bonsall. Ortega Highway can be fun, but sometimes crowded.

I might just recommend a 2-day trip to LA and Orange County. The Petersen Auto Museum is in LA. OC Cars&Coffee is the measuring stick any car meet should measure against. It's early in the morning, but I still have never seen so many rare and custom cars in the wild, in one location, for free as I have seen there.
