2002 daily/backroad/smilemaker build :l

hi everyone my names wes and im new to the forum. been on miata.net for awhile but thats no fun and decided to make a little "build" thread to keep track of my progress since i plan to keep this car for awhile.

My plan for this build is to have a backroad warrior/daily but also ready for the track when I decide to go

i have a 2002 nb miata which i bought after i sold my na. had the nb for about 7 months now and bought it bone stock from a gentlemen in sacramento. 71k on the clock, maintence and records all kept in a folder which was a plus. what she looked like when i bought her. [IMG][/IMG]

started with a set of racelands and konig dial ins because i wanted all the lows at first [IMG][/IMG]

was hit twice at work while parked which chipped the paint off the front bumper. ill fix that soon enough. finally got tired of scraping and wanted to actually enjoy my car so i raised it up, bought some 205/50 re-11a's, hard dog roll bar, renown steering wheel, and did a minor bumper cut which i where i am at now oh and i installed a isis header back exhaust and just instaled my k&n intake today before i hit the drag strip for poops and giggles

So after missing 2nd gear twice in my first time drag racing I decided I missed my old bubble shift knob but didn't want it back in the car. I really love the looks of the shifter extension but don't have 200 bucks for the one I saw
So I improvised and went the orchard and bought a coupling and a nipple image.jpgimage.jpg it does the job for now will most likely paint it or do something for a cleaner look

So took out my passenger side airbag since I have it off anyways (plan to get bucket seat and harness). Have an of what I want to do to the space just gotta make it happen when I'm not being lazy.

fun new things got my bikini top in

then decided to pop off the mazda emblem and see how some sand paper would work on removing the sticky stuff

Finally got my bucket seat after months of rolling around the cabin when going on back roads with friends! Picked up a east bear sport seat thanks to bill over at miataroadster

Little update. Some changes to just add onto here. Had some fun at mmrls but a couple days after I rear ended a Prius instead of just replacing the hood and headlight I thought I would do something I've always wanted to do. Put an na front end on my nb so that's what I started. It's not fully complete but here what's I have so far image.jpg
