Federals are a popular choice in UK, I have tried the 595 Evo in a friends' NB2 and I liked it. Regarding wheels, I believe they should clear sport brakes just fine.

Here's a suggestion. Take off your rear wheels, make a plumb bob with some string and a bit of weight on the end and start taking measurements from the fender lip or the outer edge (depending on if you roll your fenders). Next measure the back spacing of your calipers. You can also take another set of measurements with your current wheels on the car so you have a reference from those wheels' specs. All this will give you definitive numbers you can work with rather than playing a guessing game.

Don't know how to take the measurements?
