NA power steering pump pivot bolt / nut?

    Hey guys

I was looking at my engine bay yesterday and I noticed that the power steering pivot bolt did not have a nut securing it.

Now I'm not completely sure if it's meant to have one or not and whether the orientation of the nut is correct (currently it seems like the bolt has been pushed from the back, exposing the threads at the front. Not sure if it's meant to be pushed from the front with the threads showing towards the back)

I found a photo from Miatamecca's ebay page showing the bolt as he is selling one and it looks like it's installed the opposite way to mine. Not sure if this just so that he could highlight the part or whether this is the correct way to install it?

    Just wondering if :
    1) I'm meant to have a nut there to secure the bolt and the pump
    2) if so, what is the correct nut size for the bolt (perhaps a part number?)
    2) whether the orientation of the bolt is correct?

    Here's a photo

    Thanks in advance!

From memory, bolt is going in through the front, at least in my NB2. It is a standard metric thread, however I cannot recall the size right now, M12 or M14

The bolt is suppose to go in from the front and uses a nut on the back.

Size of said nut is M10x1.25. Mazda part no is 999401000 (used in various other places as well)
