Who made this shifter trim ring I bought from yahoo Japan?

I saw this while perusing for interesting stuff and bought it on a whim. It came in pretty beaten up from years of use, but I was able to refinish it to a brushed aluminum look similar to the rest of my interior trim by sanding it to remove all the nicks and scratches out and going back and forth with different grits and polishes until the desired finish was achieved. I still need to either source new hardware, or refinish the hardware that came along with it.

I'm sure it's nothing particularly rare, as I think I've seen similar pieces in the past, but I have zero idea who manufactured it

No idea who makes that, but your refinish looks fantastic! Nice looking part.

I believe it is an OEM accessory. I have (or rather waiting) two of them, one reading "Roadster" and one reading "MX5".

BTW the latter will be available for sale soon.
