What the hell? I was hoping to watch football while I still had power but there's nothing on but hurricane coverage!

We're hanging in there. Basically no sleep last night.
Someone turned the light on in the room we're bunked in and proceeded to fill their air mattress next to me. And they snore very loudly.
Other than that the wind is picking up and the storm is pretty much aiming right for us.

Okay, joking is over. Irma is now making landfall starting in Marco Island - Everglades City. Wishing everyone health and safety. Watch over yourselves, your families and pets and we'll see you on the other side.

No sleep here either. Too stressed to relax and keep wondering what I've forgotten.

I've done all I can do and stocked as many supplies I could find. Now it's time to hunker down and hope for the best. I'm just waiting for power to go out so I thought I'd dump some pre-hurricane photos off my phone.

I'm GTG. Might be taking in some friends locally. Wife is struggling with a bad cold/flu, but my anticipation skills are on point right now.

Its coming straight for us. We already have 57mph winds sustained in some places, and the eye is supposed to be here at midnight.

We're three hours away from the eye but already getting powerful gusts and it's sounding loud outside. Canal has risen (see bottom of dock) and we're not even in storm-surge phase yet.

Hey my friend, is this your backyard?
Take care.
I'm watching the CNN and it seems Irma is now cat 3, hope everything goes ok.
Un abrazo, my friend.
