Posted this in the other thread, but since an NA thread is available now, I suppose it's worth posting here as well.
These are pretty old pics, but although my interior has changed a lot the headunit is still the same. Kenwood DDX512 + Garmin/Kenwood nav module (Kenwood DNX5120 is the same but with built-in nav rather than module). I chose it because after playing with a few units at the local bigboxstore, I found that the Kenwood had the most intuitive (at least for me) menu and button layout. 1997s had true DIN opening, so install was pretty simple, albeit a very very tight fit.
It's been an awesome unit, but the GPS is starting to feel pretty dated. I'm really itching for a newer unit with more features (and faster processing power), but I really like the convenience of having it permanently installed there in the dash.
