Although my opinion might be biased.
If you are sticking with the wood accessories then might I suggest a Nardi steering wheel to compliment it.

While I wish I could replace the OEM steering wheel, I've never been comfortable with removing the airbag (if the Miata never came with it then it'd be another story...) I've been thinking of perhaps switching it with one of the NB wheels since those are nicer and still maintain the airbag functionality.
