    aye... "If you do cycle the ram with the lines off, it could get very messy. I think Harry's suggestion of getting as much out as you can through the reservoir, refill, cycle, repeat should get you farther ahead than 99.8% of owner do to this system." yup that PS fluid will come out like a supersoaker if the hose is disconnected and not routed somewhere sensible ask me how I know!

    PS fluid is cheap and flushing it by just emptying the reservoir and refilling it is honestly fine.. That or join up the return line to an extra length of hose (transparent is best) to route it to an empty oil bottle or something like that.
