    Leather hood straps.

I've always thought leather hood straps would be kinda cool on a roadster, and me best mate is a leathersmith/leatherperson/tanner/leatherrubber/leatherworshiper/animalskinsinner (whatever they are called.) He makes motorcycle seats, belts and other stuff. I've only seen them on a pit crew NA. Think there would be a market for such items? I will post some pics of what I am babbling about when I get home.

That would be kind of cool if applied to the right car. I probably wouldn't buy them though.

Yup that is them. Those look really cheap though. I figured it would not be much of a stretch from making belts to making these. He is a hot rod/chopper guy, I bet he'd be into it. He could probably dress em up if people were into that. Here are some of his instrument straps: http://www.chancey77.com/straps.html
I imagine the single strap style that goes all the way across the hood would not work due to the contours in the hood though.

I was thinking about using these straps on my trunk, just for looks really, I would keep my lock.
