Hey guys. Came over from Clubroadster. Thought id throw my build thread up here as well.
Ive had my miata about a year and a half now. First off some background i guess.
My Miata is the first car that Ive really been able to modify. I previously owned a '98 Volvo S70 that I bought off my mom once I started working back in High school. I really wanted something that was more of a sports car but being 17 at the time I didnt really have many options. I really wanted a 240sx but finding a decent one of those is damn near impossible. A coworker of mine (Blu92 on here) got me looking into Miatas. I wanted something that had a strong aftermarket support, was a stick, and rwd. A first gen miata seemed like the perfect car. It was cheap, reliable, good on gas, cheap on insurance, had a strong aftermarket, and was rwd and a stick. So I got looking and found this immaculate '90 NA on craigslist with just 23k miles on it, garaged its entire life, completely stock, etc. The perfect starting point for what I was looking to do. Well I bought it a couple weeks after I first went to look at it and a year and a half later here I am. I also have 3 S13 hatches now (a DD of sorts, drift car project, and a parts car). When I look back on it I am really glad I got a miata. Ive driven GTRs, Evos, etc and I have yet to find a single car that I enjoy driving more then a miata.
Well I guess I should start with the "build" part of this. My hopes for this is just to be a fun DD that Id really like to autocross or track every so often. I also want to do every single bit of work to this car myself, or at least help with it when its not something Ive learned to do yet. I've learned a lot in the past year and a half.

The day I brought her home.
My wheels and tires came in at work (a Goodyear) Mounted and balanced. Just had to wait on snow to stop for the year to put them on.
Got a steal on a momo on ebay
Then a while later my coils finally came in. Moar Low Achieved
An actually Nice picture
But then sadly I was hit and run at a gas station....
But no worries. I immediately tore into it and started fixing everything and sent the bumper for paint at a family friends body shop. I Miss my mazda sticker though Quite thankfully very little body work needed done. Mainly just bent some metal on the inside of the Driver side bumper/quarter panel area
Pretty much done and ready for the newly painted bumper.
Much later. Finally got a front lip. I did the smoked lights when it got hit.
Well got hit and run again.... Shouldnt park your car on the street on the 4th of july
And guess what!? got hit again.... 3rd time, every single time i wasnt even in the car. The guy came forward this time thank god. I was about to lose it. Needed a new finish panel and repsray of the rear bumper. I didnt feel like reattaching the badges so thats why its debadged now.
Now time to be an artsy photo whore.
