Soo.... yeah, guess I'm playing here too...

Truth be told, I've been lurking here for a lil' while, since I heard people "talking" on CR about jumping ship to over here. So I figured I'd help lower the Miata IQ base out here too. I'm also on CR, MFZ, & countless other forums pertaining to little gay cars under the same name. For those that don't know me, I enjoy long walks on the beach, watching my dog lick her hind-parts, & I might put out on the first date - if you're nice. I've had a few Miata's, this is my latest one, purchased (more like saved from death) almost exactly a year ago, it's undergoing bodywork as you can see.

    Welcome!

Is it wrong I kinda like the paint of the rear of the car? Reminds me of the Gull grey used on the old F14 and A-10 fighter jets...

    Thanks!

Ya' know, I like it too (the paint on the rear), a lot more than I thought I would. It's intended to be somewhat temporary until I get around to saving for a real paint job, which realistically will probably be in another year or so. I'm on the fence to get it painted the original Silver, or go with a color similar to what it is now. It's Rustoleum Automotive Primer (2 coats) and Rustoleum Crystal Clear (2-3 coats) is what the rear end is currently. Within the next few months I should be done with the rest of the car.

Welcome to the site! I like what you did with the APC tail lights by taking the lens off and painting the inner area, it gives is a much better look!!

    Welcome, Texan!
Like everyone else, I rather like the primer/clear treatment on the tail of your car. However, definitely a fan of the Silverstone in general. I'd be torn as to which way to go.

In any case, welcome to mr.net!

I like it as well, and can we get a better shot of the back end, because it looks like you also integrated the lights into the rear panel...AND the rear panel into the sheet metal. More info please. Oh, and welcome.

Actually it's just the modified tails into the finish panel, I thought about molding it all into the body but decided against it. I wanted to be able to have the option to do the GV setup in the future (or go back to stock) & if someone were to tap me on the rear (God forbid), I can take off the panel easier to repair/replace. Here's a few pics of the rear end build taken from my build thread on CR...

Cool rear tail lights.....the reverse light seems out of place. If I can makes suggestion, i garage vary rectangle light on the left side where the big gap from the lights to the plate sill perhaps.
