Some of you may know that I've been offered a classic Porsche for $1500 by a friend in San Diego. I went to take a look at it earlier today, inspected it, and am buying it.
Say hello to the newest member of the Garage Woolery collection:
Sitting in the garage, all ignored and stuff:
Out of the garage, still dusty:
After a rinse:
Interior:
I'm not a Porsche expert (disclaimer), but I gave the car a lookover and I couldn't find any rust and everything looked to be in really good shape. There are minor issues, which are to be expected...but it looks like this car is going to be a winner. Making arrangments to get the car up from San Diego and into the garage now.

damn....
Fuck.
Looking good Dave. Really clean for 1500!
By the way, does anyone have r-package front and rear lips laying around? If so I'd like to buy em or trade my gv style lip +cash. Let me know!
David, that car is in fantastic condition! The interior looks almost new! It is a lovely color combination!
Manny,
I really think it is the control arms. Have another Miata owner ride shotgun and try to pinpoint the location of the clunk.
It may also be the differential mounts. Put a wrench on them to see is they are a little loose.

Dave, the 912 is powered by a VERY slightly modified type 4 VW bus engine. That car is AMAZINGLY clean for $1500, thats a fantastic deal! *porsche guy since I was 14* I recently picked up a 914, but im nost sure Im going to do anything with it.
*edit* eligable for garage find of the decade.
