I am in the middle of installing a new brake master cylinder. Bench bleeding went horrible so now it's time for bleeding the normal way.

The new one should have had some fluid in it correct? It's not so big, that it would cause a problem.....or did you rebuild it? Good luck.

Drove out to see it again as a break from studying this week. Started to put the stock suspension back in so the car can be back on its feet but things didn't go as planned and I'm not even halfway done. Oh well.

So I jumped in the car Wed morning and it wouldn't go into gear. Took the truck (pissed off the wife) and ordered up a clutch master and slave because I didn't have time to look under the hood: it was still dark out.

It was the slave but I changed them both yesterday morning no problem. I also discovered that it is easy to do most of the slave through the passenger wheel well, unlike the "1.8 enthusiasts manual" said doing it all from underneath with extensions I don't have.

I only have 63xxx Km (~40k Miles)on the car (NA8) and was surprised it went so soon. Is this normal ?

Took her out for a 200 top down mile trip to a great local tech day with about 30+cars, and then Autocross event (my firs; only spectated...this time!). My car preformed wonderfully. The cold temperatures made her extra peppy.

I got the master brake cylinder done. I got my brother to help me bleed the brakes, got a bunch of air out. I think I need to adjust the pedal position. The brakes work well, just not till deeper in the stroke, which is what it was doing beforehand. Oh well, can't hurt to have a new master cylinder right?

Looks great from here! It appears to have a slightly rough, grippy texture.

After all the Tornadoes and bad weather we had for the past 12 days, today we are having "San Diego" weather, so I drove the Miata to work!
