HVAC face color change + chrome rings

Since my gauge faces are white and have chrome rings, I thought I'd do the same to my HVAC controls, especially since I found a company that sells the stuff, IL Motorsport. I wasn't looking for any of this but stroke of luck...

The face kit comes with all seven face pieces to transform your HVAC face into a different colors. Actually, IL Motorsport sells many colors and it was a toss up between yellow and white. I still may order the yellows just to change the look in a year or so.

The faces in the kit are not just stickers! They are actually thick plastic replacements for the factory faces and need to be glued in place. I suppose one could just stick them on top of the old faces but then the illumination would look dimmer than the dash or graphcs wouldn't match up.

So, first I removed the old faces which was really easy with an X-acto blade to pick a spot and then wiggle underneath and finally pull the old face off. Then the new face goes on with a micro drop of Super Glue (self supplied) and fits perfectly!

The faces are color coded so whatever was red or blue before remains. The best part is the updated looks of the graphics with what I call "little Stigs" as symbols.

The next kit is a three-piece set of chrome rings. These are actually metal with a beautiful chrome job, not plastic with spotty chroming. Very impressive. They fit so perfectly, I just pressed them in without any glue!

Still have my dash out for the next few days but looking forward to getting everything installed. I'll post a completed interior shot asap.

The only options are different color faces, i.e. yellow, red etc. The little graphics are the same. Who knows, Rev's probably designed as set of custom HVAC faces by now! ;)
