MEET IS NOW CANCELLED

Cancelling the meet for tomorrow guys, the news casters are saying tomorrow will be a repeat of todays strong storms, just stay home and "hunker down". =P~

We had golf ball sized hail in Brandon/Valrico area, a Home Depot in Brandon lost part of its roof from the high winds, and it downed lots of trees, power lines. oh and 2000+ Lightning Strikes in 20 minutes is pretty significant. [-X

Several clusters of strong storms were sweeping across the Bay Area Tuesday afternoon, bringing gusty winds and frequent lightning.

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for parts of Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Hernando counties. The National Weather Service advised that golf ball-sized hail was possible along the path of the storm.

Reports of downed trees and powerlines from wind damage around the Tampa Bay area are trickling into the newsroom.

Tampa Electric was reporting as many as 11,00 people without power.

Sligh Ave. east of Nebraska is flooded with trees down in the area. Police say there are also reports of trees in the road on Ramona Circle North, Sligh Avenue at 15th Street, and East Elm Street.
