teh stances? i want a test ride on those. tein sa's are alright, but not what i was expecting. oddly underdampened from my perspective. i have them on full stiff and it still doesn't feel like they can control the weight of the car making it roll around more than i want. before i dump money on stiffer front springs, isc tophats and another alignment, i may just live with them how they are and get a set of stances or something else down the road.
Yea for sure. I mean obviously I sell them so I'm somewhat biased but I sell them for a reason. I think the damper is very good, especially for the price. The car is nice, smooth and comfy on the freeway while being more planted in the corners. It's hard to understand how smooth it rides compared to other coilovers I've rode on with similar rates, but I think it has a lot to do with how much travel the rear has, especially at my height.

I think limited travel may be why it's not handling properly. I will probably be raising my ride height to wherever works best with the travel of the shock and bumpstops supplied and seeing if they work better and are worth investing a little into. I do remember being somewhat surprised at how short of a stroke the shocks had before I installed them. I think it was like 3.25" all around minus the bumpstop.
Just for fun try this out. Measure your static loaded hub to fender in the rear. Undo the top nut on one of your rear coilovers and remove the spring. Bolt everything back together without the spring and measure hub to fender once again while fully compressing the shock. You may be greatly surprised by how little travel most Miata's have back there, it's a lot less than you think.

I want some stance coils but I have a few other things I need to get first. Tires are almost shot so those first, then I'm thinking seats + rollbar since I put my new(er), -hopefully waterproof- top on lol. I also need to do some maintenance (t belt) but hopefully stances aren't too far away.
I'm still glad I tried out the racelands just so I could experience the lowness and worst riding car of my life. Where they're at now they ride just fine for daily driving, but when it comes to taking a corner at speed it feels like garbage, especially when you add bald tires into the equation lol.
Dorifto! Next meet is 7:00PM on July 26th at Tacoma Mall Krispy Kreme where we will plan our next cruise!

Ah yes, the perfect place for me to burn the rest of my tires off in some epic burnout while weaving through a crowd of people!
Well, the usual for me. I'll make it if I'm off on time!

when's the next one? i may one of these days see how friendly the local Miata guys are.
I believe it would be this thursday (9th) at dicks in the u district. If UPS stops messing around with my shipment, and I get off in work on time I will have something different on my car.
