    DAMD vs PitCrew

I've been spending an unhealthy amount of time shopping for a PitCrew without having to spend 2600+shipping for a brand new one from their site...

In my extensive search I've come across the DAMD... which, some guy in Okinawa is selling saying it is the same as the PitCrew... IDK, to me it's no comparison for the real deal PitCrew...

Anyone familiar with this "DAMD" business?

DAMD is kinda cool. They call that one a shark nose. It is fog lights, not replacement main lights like the Pitcrew.

I once considered that nose. I gathered a couple dozen pix and decided it wasn't for me.

Ah, I had wondered why they left the headlights separate! Well, that's disappointing, but much thanks for the information

I found their website and it seems the damd bumper isn't made anymore, I'm not sure of it's rarity/price range... but, agreed, there's something not quite "on" about it.

of course if the price is right, it could be a good starting point for my ideal custom nose, as i'm no stranger to fiberglass work - but on second thought, i'm in no hurry and i'm becoming more determined to either find a used pitcrew asap, or buy one new sometime next spring.

The DAMD looks pretty good but I am not liking the headlights still being there. I am sure you could just use the fog lights for head lights and shave the headlights.

    DAMD vs PitCrew

I would prefer the pitcrew. The pop up headlights still being there on the Damd kinda kills it for me.

i was going to comment something like "i have never heard the words pitcrew and common used together" but then i realised you're in the UK, then yes, perhaps they may be more plentiful there

and that lambo kit car looks fun to drive very attention getting, lol... people would probably say "oh a pontiac fiero kit-car"

removing the headlights and bonding the flip-up lids to the front bumper might make it look better... bring on the photoshop!

I want to like the DAMD. I really really do. I mean, it's called a SHARK NOSE. And from certain angles, it looks quite nice. But the problem is the other angles. There are some that make that foglight look like a huge, unfortunate zit. No, precious, that is no good at all.

That Simpson design is simply gorgeous, he has the same joy of custom manufacturing that revlimiter has. Probably on a different scale.

I have a photo somewhere of the DAMD kit and the owner installed some Low Profile Lights as well, it looks kick ass with that setup. The stock Barndoor lights look funny when "up" using this bumper. So if you get it I would get some low Pros as well, or at least a PiVot Sleepy Eye kit.

I bet it would be easy enough to convert the fogs to an HID retrofit.
