6 Months starting Sept.
But I've been in the courts every other day trying to reverse it. It's supposed to be really clear cut.
They suspended my license for "Fleeing the scene of an accident" When I stayed there, swapped information, and both parties (her and I) Agreed to settle privately and SHE left first.
She changed her mind, reported the accident without telling me... legal witchhunt ensued. Got booked, putt in military interrogation for 3 hours at 1am (no kidding) and had my leadership come in to bail me out.
The base policy states I have 72 hours to report a minor traffic incident. And they suspended it for "not reporting the incident at the scene and leaving". I have the regulation, gave it to the commander.. made a formal request and everything.
Then I get this fancy little answer back after waiting for a month and a half of security forces bureaucracy... literally.. word for word "Your request to re-instate your driving privileges has been declined. The AFI states you have 72 hours to report a minor traffic incident on base; does not mean you can take 72 hours to report it."
I've filled a complaint with the inspector General and this is going big league at this point. No way is that an appropriate answer for any legal issue. And the SFS commander dicked me, and a couple other drivers.
