Thank you! I'm trying to get an estimate for a run of 10 so I can set up the price for the first group buy. Now for real, what colors do people actually want? The more colors in the first group buy, the higher the price. I was almost thinking of just doing 3 different colors. Maybe black, red and blue?

Black is a must, brushed aluminum (?), white would be nifty. I would avoid bright colors at first, see if there is initial interest. Basic colors that go with everything is easier to sell. But making red, blue, green, etc would be tough. Or the Miata community is eccentric and wants bright colors.

Thank you! I have a price I want to sell them for in my head, but it all depends on how much they're going to cost to make. I should have some rough prices in a week or so.

Okay everybody, I have 50 of these bad ass shift knobs being finished by December 1st. After that, they will be going to anodizing, which should take about a week.

The price is going to be $30 per piece, or $80 if you buy all 3 pieces. The colors are not certain yet because they depend on what you people want!

25 are coming in 10x1.25 (Miata!) and 25 in 12x1.25 (Subaru, Ford, Toyota, Scion).

Thanks! If anyone want's to stack the middle sections for an extra tall knob, extra middle pieces will be $20, so if you wanted a 4 piece setup it would be $100.

This is pretty titties! Is the price the same for a raw, non-anodized one?

I didn't think anyone would want one non-anodized. I was thinking of having a "clear" anodizing finish option to give it the raw aluminum look while still getting the durability of the anodizing.

The knobs are very soft before anodizing. I even put a little nick in it when I bumped it against a tow hook. After anodizing, the shift knobs surface is so hard that I can bang it on the concrete without a mark to it.

If you did, however, want a non-anodized one, I could probably drop the price $5. The machining of the large, outer threads is the most expensive part of these knobs by far, and the fact that they're three pieces doesn't help. The anodizing process itself is not very expensive and is quite quick.
