I've always wondered this. What is the difference between Slammed/Mod slammed and dropped? Is dropped just when it's lowered but not to any standard? (like slammed/mod slammed) Or is it one step above mod slammed?
Hey zoom. How you finding the KYb AGXs, id like to get a set in the future..but most likely pair them with tein stechs and FCM Bumpstops.
Why even worry about it at all? Lowered is lowered, why can't it just be left at that?
Breaking it up into the different categories and making silly arguments like, "Is my car slammed?" "NO! That's mod slammed" and so on is what turned the whole car lowering scene into just a dick swinging contest.
Creating boundaries will only confine you to them.
That doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't lay frame, or raise you ride height for rallycross or whatever, but this place does not need to have the "my car is lower, so it's better kind of attitude."
Which is what those kind of threads tend to create. I don't see why just one "ride height" thread can't be enough.
1990 Miata, she was red but now she is Spirit Green!

I'd like to add a picture of my NC to show comparisons of the stock NC heigh and what is considered optimum for road handling.

Lowered on pre stressed springs:
Excuse the dirty pictures. Here is the car later that day cleaned with changed clear indicator repeaters:
Previous car: NA 1990 classic red jrsc m45 with 150mm crank, intercooler, DIY pnp ms2, 340 cc injectors and lts of other mods including chassis bracing, roll bar, bc coilovers, RB exhaust.
New car: 2.0 sport NC, sunlight silver, lowered, geo alignment,m
Cosworth panel filter, r8 wiper mod, debadged rear with more to come.
It's a shame they put the steering wheel on the wrong side but what a great difference. They should come from Mazda lowered like that. It looked like a 4x4 before but now it looks normal.
An old school pic of my car, still at the same ride height though.

Lowered NCs even on standard wheels look really good.
