Thanks! It will be nice to have it in one piece for a whole season, hopefully...

It is a Blox Skunk 2 B18 honda copy, ceramic coated, chopped, filled and redrilled to miata flange pattern, then ported/gasket matched. It was only good for ~9hp up top, moved the torque peak up and lost a bunch(10ftlbs) under the curve. I planned on boost of some sort and the miataturbo guys see huge gains with the bigger plenum. It uses a stock B18 GSR throttle body and the honda tps and iacv wired into AEM EMS, no maf. The cold air intake has that piece-o-crap cast aluminum Vibrant piece coupled to a welded one piece aluminum deal to tuck the filter in a shrouded area in front of the passenger tire.

I'd trade it for a squaretop in a heartbeat ;) hint, hint...

The start of something cool for the racecar:

The back of the face is not flush, so I couldn't reverse mount them even if I wanted to...

First full tank for the fresh motor.
Still needs aligned and corner weighted, pay no mind to the reverse rake. ;p

Hardtop is off, I'm brainstorming options to seal the lexan. Also contemplating pulling the softtop. New windshield going in soon, first event in April.

    Lips will definitely stay polished.

In fact, I killed an hour cleaning two of them up this morning.

This is what I'm starting with:

30 minutes with some mothers mag&aluminum and a rag:

Im not sure if they'll get much more attention than this. Several nicks, chips, and scratches in all four lips.

    I love your car!
As many cool builds on here as there is, I think your car is most like mine and that just makes me want to keep going on mine. It seems ironic a bit to me since at one point or another they have been so similar looking. from the color to the lip/sideskirts to the red hard top. Also the nickel 6ULs and the Opel B-Bombs are two of my favorite wheel choices and two that I considered for mine! Keep up the good work, Hoping to get mine out on the track this year, and looking forward to seeing more on your car.

Thanks man! I think Montego is the 2nd most plentiful color behind classic red. Lots of them out there lol

We picked up a set of not-new-but-never-used Hankook c71 softies for the Panas. 225/45/13. Should be plenty for my codriver to learn rcomps.

What're the repo wheels, and whatever happened to your old Bronze ones? They look pretty sweet!

The current wheels, the SSR copies, are Konig Bbombs. 15x7.5 et0, the NB knuckles make them effectively et-5.

I've had a couple bronze ones
    Falken Hanabis, <10lbs 15x7 et35.
Rota Slipstream 16" et35 back in the day.
I also rattle canned some sport max 501s goldish, which I traded for the falkens. Sold the falkens to buy the nickel 949 9"s.

I was thinking of the 501's.

The BBombs look good. Surprisingly good.

Thanks Bryan. I'm pretty happy with em. I've kept them longer than any other set of wheels.

Got the faces back from blasting. They look cool as heck in the raw blasted texture. So I'm just gonna throw em together. It they get nasty, greasy, brake dusty in one season, then I'll re blast and paint em next winter.

    Lip before

    Lip after hand polishing

    Just marry em up
