That is awesome Adam, also great write up! I have a '94, which doesn't have a dome light. I have all the parts to install the dome light from a '96/'97 and I have a Mazdaspeed mirror to install on the window. This gives me something to look at while installing the dome light! Looks great!

I remember those rear view mirrors, http://www.mmmiata.com/ used to sell them back in the day.

The one http://www.mmmiata.com/ sold was window mount and kinda expensive - which was stupid for 1990-1995 cars with a frame mount mirror. Everyone started to sell them because the 1994 miata's only had one interior light on the new style dash. I have the same one as Adam. Mighty Products sold it back in the day.

My day started out like this.

Why? Because I had something to pick up. Something awesome. And no truck to do it with. I mentioned it to Stoly and he told me to do this. Just take off my hood and go pick up the new one. BRILLIANT!

The Garage Vary Type II extractor hood. Pristine.

    OMGvent.

A billion thanks to JDMPalace! The hood was packed perfect and had no damage. And to save on shipping, it was sent to my buddy's shop. That's why I had to go get it. Well worth the effort to save about $160 on shipping.

Plus I got a blog post out of it.

And it's on there. No problem!

JDM rust. And tiny 10mm hardware.

    Vent.

    Hole for hood pins.

It really is in amazing shape considering how old it is. It might be older than Sharka. At 18 years, that's pretty impressive to me.

    It even latched no problem.

And then I got nuts with the tape.

    Ready to roll home.

And I got home without any problems. The hood didn't so much as quiver.

Tire paint and a tiny brush. Each tire took around an hour after you account for multiple coats. And it has the fine feature of needing cleaned every week or so.

has some info. I used this strange Icelandic tire paint. Got it on ebay.

But it was worth it. I love the look. Worth the effort.

I thought Sharka was 'finished' Adam? lol

I'm very jealous. That is the hood I've always wanted for Ronin. It looks AWESOME!

Love the GV hood. It'll look superb once painted to match. Are you going to keep the hood pins or go with AeroCatch latches?
