    FM Happy Meal questions

So I'm just wondering if this happens with other owners. I have a FM happy meal combo in my car paired with a 6spd transmission. My car is a 1995 NA. When driving when releasing the gas pedal it will have this whining noise, I have thought its because of the lighter flywheel. Does the combo make more cabin noise when driving & releasing the gas pedal?

It is gear lash/chatter. It is one of the down sides to a lightened flywheel, especially aluminum ones. Essentially, you have less mass/ dampening so you are hearing the gears in the transmission meshing together with the pulses of each cylinder firing. It's normal. I prefer chromoly flywheels because they greatly reduce this.

Yeah & that was one of my thoughts. Aside from the rpms dropping & rising quicker. Just something I wanted to assure myself of. I was considering in the future getting a chromoly flywheel with a 949Racing clutch kit.
