Do you mean if NA coilovers fit on an NB? If that is your question, the answer is yes.
96 Montego, replacing a 95M... I miss: My running peeps in Tampa, running barefoot @ Clearwater Beach and First Choice BBQ, in Brandon. In So Cal I miss: The Malibu Canyons, CA 33 and In & Out Burgers ! I'm from Tampa, if I was from Tampa Bay, I'd be a fish!
They will fit, but the suspension from the NA will sit lower on the NB and the NB suspension will sit higher on the NA. ( I believe that is correct. It may be the opposite)
I know when I put coilovers on my na i used nb coilovers with nb top hats. So could one use na coilovers and na top hats on a nb ?
Yes, but the result would be what I said earlier!
I'll be experimenting thus exact thing soon, just bought some coilovers (from a 96) to my nb

Correct! If they are shocks and springs then it will be an issue, if its coilovers then you can obviously adjust the height!
NA and NB Miatas all have coilovers. Look how the spring goes on top of the shock. What they don't have is ride height/stiffness adjustable coilovers, and that is where the aftermarket steps in.
I have ride height adjustable coilovers. I could've paid an extra $250 for stiffness adjustability, but I felt like that was not needed for my application.
